About Music At Sharon E-mail

At Sharon Baptist Church our music ministry is extremely important. We believe that the worship experience is not a performance by a few intended for the many, but rather a gift offered by the many to The One. Or in other words, God is the audience in worship – not us! Therefore the question becomes what kind of worship does God enjoy? Certainly He basks in the living of godly lives by His people; certainly He thrives on the reading and the study of His Holy Word and the fellowship of His people dwelling in unity. But the Scriptures also make it extremely clear that God desires music to be included in our sacrifice of praise. Psalm 150 says, “Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!” If our goal is to please God with every aspect of our worship, then Christ-centered music must be included in it!”

We are a musically blended service at Sharon. Each Sunday we sing traditional hymns and some of the most popular contemporary songs from CCLI's Top 25 Contemporary Christian Songs.

Production Team

Sound and Video is an extremely important element of a worship service. We are proud of the work our production team does each Sunday morning to provide the optimum in sound and video for our worship service. A lot of work goes into providing us with on screen hymn and praise lyrics, Biblical graphs, sermon outlines and important church information. Music is 75% of our service each Sunday. To be able to listen in comfort and hear each solo without straining is a blessing indeed!
