Sharon Baptist Weekday School is comprised of two smaller divisions:

• Weeschool - Toddler through 2 year old classes
• Preschool - Transitional, 3, and 4 year old classes

Weeschool

Toddler I: Our youngest class is for babies who are from 6 months to around 13 months old in September.  Parents choose the day or days they would like their child to attend, on a space available basis.  The child to teacher ratio is 6:2.

Toddler II: These children are from about 14 months to 22 months old in September.  Here, too, parents may choose the day or days they would like their child to attend, on a space available basis.  The child to teacher ratio is 8:2.

Two Year Olds: We have two levels of 2 year old classes.  2A is for the youngest two year olds; 2B is for the older 2 year olds.  These classes are available all 5 days, parents being able to choose the days they would like ther child to attend, on a space available basis.  The ratio is 8:2. For children who turn three between April and October see class T3, below, for another option.

The ages in all of the weeschool classes may fluctuate from year to year, depending on the birthdates of the children enrolled for that particular school year.

Preschool

Three Year Olds: We have regular three year old classes that meet on Tuesday, Thursday (3B) and on Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3C). Children must be three years old before September 1 to be in one of these classes. The ratio is 14:2 and children are required be potty trained before school starts. We also offer a special transitional class that we call T3. It is specifically for children who turn three between April and October. This class, held on Tuesday and Thursday with a ratio of 10:2, allows for more individual attention for this age group. It is a perfect choice for parents who are planning to give their child an extra year to mature instead of starting kindergarten when he first becomes eligible. It is also a good choice for those older two year olds who are ready for a class with more structure. Children in T3 should be potty trained by the end of October.

Four Year Olds: Our four year old classes include T4 (a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday transitional class for children who turn four between April and October), 4C (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), and 4D (Monday through Thursday). The ratio of T4 is 12:2, while the other four year old classes have ratios of 14:2. To be in a four year old class a child must turn four before September 1.

Five Year Olds: For five year olds we offer a transitional kindergarten class (TK). This class is primarily for children who will have their fifth birthday between April and August, although if we have openings we will fill in with children who turn five in September and October. It meets Monday through Thursday, has a ratio of 12:2, and is popular with parents who are giving their child an extra year to mature before starting kindergarten.

Friday: Any preschooler who does not attend regular classes on Friday is eligible to attend one of these classes. It offers a less structured day than our regular preschool classes with more playtime. This is the only preschool class in which we allow drop-in children on a space available basis. The ratio is 14:2.
